Who We Are

Mission Statement:

BMB&S exists to strengthen vulnerable families, improve mental and behavioral health, and foster interdependence and pride in oneself and community. We educate, equip, and empower parents, youth, educators, and community members to create safe, thriving neighborhoods where children and families can succeed.

Our Work:

Since 2018, BMB&S has addressed challenges facing vulnerable families, from low literacy rates to the impact of systemic violence and other trauma. Our team, rooted in the communities we serve, implements programs that confront deeply ingrained negative self-perceptions, improve family dynamics, and build resilience. By tackling adverse childhood experiences and equipping parents with practical skills, we aim to break cycles of trauma and create sustainable change across generations.

Why It Matters:

Parents are the primary influencers of both children and neighborhood conditions. By providing accurate parenting information and effective tools, BMB&S strengthens parent-child relationships, improves mental health, and builds neighborhood cohesion. Our programs also support educators and youth, creating a connected ecosystem of success for vulnerable communities.
